Favorite Memory from Orientation: It was a huge bummer to hear we were online-only last year. I moved out from the east coast (cross country pandemic road trip, woohoo!) hoping for the best but knowing we'd probably be DigitalHumanz. Despite the zoom restriction, I felt so welcome and a part of CalArts the CalArts community. I'm honored both to be a part of the 2021 OL team and for the chance to pass my amazing orientation experience on to all of you!

Advice for Incoming Students: When you're feeling freaked out, take a deep breath and remember why you wanted to come to school in the first place.

Fun Fact: I have only ever broken one bone in my body - my neck. Go big or go home, baby!

Favorite Memory from Orientation: All the little videos the orientation leaders made for our "breaks" during the online modules last year. They were fun!!

Advice for Incoming Students: Breathe. The whole incoming experience may seem overwhelming, especially after the school year we just had...but remember, you are here for a reason. You belong!

Favorite Memory from Orientation: I loved move-in day the most! Getting to meet everyone in my class and live on my own for the very first time in my life was so exciting and surreal. The entire orientation week of games and activities were EPIC: capture the flag, the pool party, the movie nights!! What a blast!

Advice for Incoming Students: Be yourself!! People will love your authentic self for what you are, which is talented and rockin! Try new things! Fall! Get up! Run! Glide! Leap! Fall again!! CalArts is here to pick you up and build you up! You got this!!

Favorite Memory from Orientation: The little mixers and activities the past Orientation Leaders would organize. They were all so fun, and no matter how simple they were I remember them so fondly and vividly! I met some of my best friends at those little things!

Advice for Incoming Students: I know this is cliche, but you do not grow inside of your comfort zone. Of course keep your personal boundaries, but if you have to decide between doing something and not- challenge yourself to say yes. No matter if the decision is whether or not to say hi to that person in the hall, or to say yes or no to a project, so many good things and opportunities can come from daring yourself to say yes!

Fun Fact: I am a twin!
