- 13 paid holidays for all regular full-time employees and regular part-time employees;
- A winter break in late December where CalArts is closed for eight (8) paid days;
- An alternative work schedule (a four-day workweek with extended hours) during the summer months for staff employees;
- Vacation accrual of between 12 and 20 days per year for staff employees;
- 9-to-10-month contracts for the majority of Regular and Technical Faculty, allowing for summer engagement in their professional practice;
- Creative Leave for Regular and Technical Faculty and professional development funds for all faculty;
- Accrual of paid sick leave at the rate of one day per month, up to a maximum of 60 days for regular full-time and part-time employees;
- An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that provides professional counseling, information, and referral services to eligible employees and their spouse, domestic partner, and dependent children;
- With written permission of their supervisor, divisional head or dean, and the faculty member, employees may audit regularly scheduled classes without charge; and
- A tuition remission program for family members (for eligible employees).
