On this website, you will find many resources to help you be successful at CalArts. It is recommended that you seek advising at least twice a semester. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Academic advising is an educational process that facilitates students’ understanding of the meaning and purpose of higher education. It fosters intellectual and personal development toward academic success and lifelong learning (NACADA, 2006).
Academic advisors complement the guidance students receive from their mentor, in which a collaborative relationship between advisor and student is formed to help students’ identify their academic, personal, and career goals while working towards fulfilling the requirements of their degree. This process of advisement creates an atmosphere of guidance, advocacy, and positive encouragement.
While academic advisors are here to support one’s educational journey, it remains the student’s responsibility to know and to meet all academic requirements. Schedule an appointment by calling the Registrar’s Office at 661-291-3404, or by email at email@example.com.
