Faculty may borrow most media for 1 week. Staff for 3 days. Students, alumni, and guest researchers may view items in the Film Services viewing  area. CAP instructors, please see the CAP access policy  or contact the Film Services Manager.
Collection items are not interlibrary loaned to other institutions.
Faculty, please contact Film Services Manager or Visual Arts Librarian at least one week prior to screening a film from our collection. Special Collection films may be screened only in the Bijou Theater.
For evening and weekend use, request videotapes at the Film Services Circulation staff before 5 pm Monday-Friday. Videotapes will be paged and put on the Hold shelf for you.
A/V Equipment Carts and Projectors
Faculty may put Library or personal media on Reserve for one day to one month. Request Library items at least two weeks in advance of your classroom screening. Contact Film Services Circulation staff .
Faculty must sign a TA Authorization form  designating TAs each semester. TAs may schedule and check out media and A/V carts and projectors for their faculty. Faculty are responsible for all items checked out by their TAs.
The Bijou seats 120 and may be scheduled for classes requiring multi-media projection; visiting artists / filmmakers screening and presentations; for groups largeer than 50; and for student and alumni screenings. See Bijou Theater  for more information.
All items in the collection are copyrighted. The U.S. copyright law (Title 17, United States Code ) governs the performance and display of copyrighted motion picture or audiovisual works. It is assumed that items checked out will be used in accordance with current and standard copyright law. Duplication without the written permission of the copyright owner is illegal.
