Campus Tours

Group tours of the CalArts campus are available for prospective students and their immediate family. Due to the unique nature of our campus and student body, availability, guest count, and spaces available to visit are limited. Tours depart from the main lobby and give guests the opportunity to see select general use and program-specific spaces around campus. Tours are led by current CalArts students and last approximately 75-90 minutes. Because all of our on-campus housing units are occupied, tours do not presently include campus housing. Information Sessions

The CalArts Office of Admissions holds a variety of general and tailored Information Sessions throughout the year, both in-person and virtually. For more information and a calendar of upcoming sessions, please visit our Information Sessions webpage.

Visit Registration Policy

Per CalArts policy, pre-registration is required for campus tours or visits. Please refrain from making travel arrangements until after registering or scheduling your meeting, as same-day tours or appointments cannot be guaranteed. Currently, we do not offer self-guided tours. Campus tour slots fill up quickly, especially on Mondays and Fridays, as well as during peak times. It's advisable to delay finalizing travel plans until you've received a confirmation email after registering. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate adding individuals on full tours due to prior travel arrangements. If you're on the waitlist for a specific tour date and space becomes available, you'll receive an email notification indicating that you've been taken off the waitlist and registered for the tour. Please refrain from visiting the campus unless you've received this email confirmation. For meetings with specific members of the Admissions team, kindly schedule in advance. Getting to CalArts

CalArts' 60-acre, residential campus is located in Valencia, CA in the Santa Clarita Valley. The campus is north of Los Angeles, adjacent to Interstate Highway 5 on McBean Parkway—40 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, 21 miles from the Burbank Airport and 44 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
