Hongik University at CalArts

CalArts has entered in to a partnership with Hongik University, a prestigious visual/design university in Seoul, South Korea, that invites Hongik students to the U.S. for a CalArts educational and artistic experience. There are currently two offerings for Hongik students.

Fall Residency Program in Creativity, Entrepreneurship and Digital Arts

The Fall Residency Program in Creativity, Entrepreneurship and the Digital Arts is an exclusive immersion opportunity for students from Hongik University to experience CalArts’ vibrant campus during the fall semester. Program participants take part in a diverse selection of elective courses in graphic design and digital arts, while supported by course work in Critical Studies and entrepreneurial coaching from CalArts’ Center for Life and Work.

The Fall Residency Program provides experience and exposure to a world-class arts education at one of the leading arts colleges in the U.S., and is suitable for students pursuing future careers in design, digital arts, and creative entrepreneurship.

Winter Institute: Techniques and Design in Motion Graphics

Dates: Jan. 3-27, 2017

Reserved for upper-level undergraduate students from Hongik University, this four-week Winter Program is an intensive 4.0-unit course that uses the music video format as a platform to explore a variety of concepts and techniques for motion graphics in broadcasting and cinema.
