Program Overview

This program aims to help individuals starting their careers figure out their next steps with a fellow alumnx who has already navigated a similar professional path. Mentors work with their mentees to increase their professional networks, gain better strategies on how to move forward in their chosen career track, and foster professional skills and growth.

Mentoring runs from July through December. Mentoring can be conducted over the phone or virtually. Mentors and mentees need not be geographically situated near one another. The program consists of at least one monthly contact and is generally a one-to-two-hour monthly time commitment.

Note: Mentees may be mentored in individual or group settings, per the preference of the mentor. The benefit of a group setting includes an expanded network of people in similar fields, in addition to and the increased energy that is typical in a group setting. We advise that if this is your first time as a mentor, that you only take on one mentee.
