Weather Preparations
In April it's usually sunny during the day, but cold when the sun goes down. Dress in layers and bring sunscreen.
Parking at the Event
There will be parking on campus and shuttles to a nearby parking lot. If you're staying near campus, ride-sharing services are encouraged.
Can I bring my own food?
Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages to campus for self-consumption, provided they do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration. Outside food is restricted from events like the Alumnx Dinner Awards, but we will have plenty of food options on campus and our food trucks will have menus to please just about any palate or dietary requirement.

What if I require special accommodations?
Guests should email us at alumnx@calarts.edu to request special seating needs. Guests with other specific requests, such as a sign language interpreter, should also email us at alumnx@calarts.edu fill out the accommodations form.
Is the 50th Anniversary Weekend wheelchair accessible?
Our team is working hard to create a welcoming environment for all and we have ADA routes for guests. Please note that some activities take place in areas with grassy lawn terrain. If you require ADA accommodations or have questions please email us at alumnx@calarts.edu by Friday, April 21, 2023 and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Are dogs allowed during the weekend?
The 50th Anniversary Weekend will be filled with activities that may include large crowds, noises and music, which may scare some animals, and we recommend keeping pets at home. Service animals are allowed. If you choose to bring your pet, please review our campus policy on pets.
Is the event child friendly?
The weekend celebration will be filled with a variety of activities open to all ages, like the World Music Festival, but some activities may be 'rated C' for CalArts. There may be instances of profanity, nudity, individuality, etc. Ticketed events will also require you purchase a ticket for each guest.
