The Parents Council is an annual giving society of parents of both current students and alumni. Recognizing that tuition only covers 59% of the actual cost of a CalArts education, members of the Parents Council are committed to supporting CalArts' students by funding student exhibitions and performances, as well as services offered through the Office of Students Affairs, such as counseling, career resources, recreation opportunities, campus life programs, and health services.
In recognition of their generosity, Parents Council members are given complimentary membership in the Friends of CalArts (FoCA) membership organization and are invited to special events with the CalArts president and academic leadership throughout the year.
