Campus Security Officer
Provides safety and security related services to the College community. Performs high visibility vehicle and foot patrols on campus and dormitories. Responds to requests for assistance, emergency calls, and alarms. Renders emergency first aid and CPR, notifies paramedics. Responds and investigates crime reports. Checks and examines interior and exterior of all campus buildings and grounds for fire, safety, and health hazards. Issue traffic and parking citations. Provides access to campus facilities and safety escorts. Interface with local police and fire agencies. Files all necessary reports and paperwork as required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, high school graduate or high school equivalency, possess a valid California Drivers' License and have an excellent driving record with no more than one (1) point. Must have the ability to compose and comprehend written reports and have the flexibility to work varied shifts. Requires the ability to climb 6-7 flights of stairs without stopping, walk for extended periods of time without restrictions and have full range of motion with both hands and arms.
