Digital Image Collections

Image Services is transitioning into a digital image resource center!  In addition to our local collections, we have licensed ARTstor , a digital image database of art, architecture, design, archeology, and world cultural history for your educational and scholarship use. Come by or contact us for a demonstration or for help using this resource.

Slide Collections

The slide collection is available for your browsing and classroom presentations. Consisting of over 132,000 slides, the greatest part of the collection is 20th and 21st century art but includes works from prehistory through the 19th century.

Slides & Slide Carousels:
Faculty: 14 day check-out
Students: 7 day check-out
Alumni: 7 day check-out

Portable Digital Projector:
Faculty: check-out only
Ask at the Circulation Desk for this item

We do NOT have slide projectors for loan. Ask in your department for these. Special arrangements can be made if you need the slides for a longer period of time. Replacement cost = $12.50 per slide. Slides are billed for replacement when 3 weeks overdue.

Requests for Additions

We encourage requests for additions to the collections. Written permission must accompany requests to duplicate images.
