Ms. Ehlers most recently played the role of Edmund in The Center for New Theater at CalArts production of King Lear, both in its world premiere at the Brewery in Los Angeles in 2002 and in France at the Frictions Festival, sponsored by Theatre Dijon Bourgogne . She appeared on Broadway in Born Yesterday, and starred off-Broadway in Educating Rita, Paradise for the Worried, and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. Other theatre credits include The Manson Family (Lincoln Center), The Body of Bourne (Mark Taper Forum), The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Dimly Perceived Threats to the System, Freedomland (South Coast Rep), The Memory of Water (Steppenwolf), Angels In America (Intiman), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Hartford Stage), Ourselves Alone, Crime and Punishment, The Taming of the Shrew (Arena Stage), as well as several movement based performance pieces in New York City.
Her international credits include They're Playing Our Song (India) and The Crucible (Israel). She has guest starred on a number of TV shows including Frasier, Murphy Brown, and JAG. Film credits include Red Letters, I'll Remember April, and Broadcast News. Ms. Ehlers has an MFA from NYU's Graduate Acting Program. She was a company member at Arena Stage (Washington, D.C.) for two years where she performed in ten plays and taught summer acting workshops at Colorado College. Ms. Ehlers also worked at Hunter College (CUNY) for three years where she taught Acting, Voice and Movement. She has studied Alexander Technique and trained as a Shiatsu practitioner. She is currently studying Butoh Dance and Capoeira. She is a certified yoga instructor and teaches classes in Integral Hatha and Kundalini Yoga in Los Angeles.
