Christopher Meeks writes in several genres. His collection of short fiction, The Middle-Aged Man and the Sea came out in 2006 and won a Noble (not Nobel) Award for Best Fiction and many great reviews, including a blurb in Entertainment Weekly that said, “A collection so stunning, I couldn’t help but move onto the next story.” His stories have been published in Rosebud, The Clackamas Literary Review, The Santa Barbara Review, The Southern California Anthology, Writers' Forum and The Midday Moon. His produced plays include Fiveplay, Suburban Anger and Who Lives? The last, staged in 1997 at the 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles, earned several grants for its production, including one from The Pilgrim Project, a group that assists plays that "ask questions of real moral significance." The play was published in 2007 by White Whisker Books. For seven years, he was a theatre reviewer for Daily Variety. He also has had screenplays optioned, and his screenplay, Henry's Room, won the Donald David Dramatic Writing Award. He also teaches in the Master of Professional Writing Program at USC.
