Steve Erickson is the author of the six novels and two books about American politics and popular culture that have been published in ten languages.
These include the new Our Ecstatic Days from Simon & Schuster, as well as Days Between Stations (1985) and Tours of the Black Clock (1989), which have just been reissued in paperback. Erickson writes about film for Los Angeles magazine and his work, which has been collected in numerous anthologies, has appeared in publications such as Esquire, Rolling Stone, Salon, Conjunctions, Frieze and the New York Times Magazine.
In his fifth year as a teacher in the CalArts MFA Writing Program, Erickson is editor of its literary magazine Black Clock, which has featured the work of David Foster Wallace, Jonathan Lethem, Richard Powers, Joanna Scott, Rick Moody, Aimee Bender, Samuel R. Delany, Greil Marcus, Darcey Steinke, Joseph McElroy, Mary Caponegro, William T. Vollmann and other nationally renowned writers.
