Michael Worthington is a partner in Counterspace (Los Angeles), a graphic design studio specializing in editorial and identity work for cultural clients. His book designs include Bohemian Modern, Ecstasy, Reality Bites, Flight Patterns and the California Biennial and books for Karl Haendel, Barry Le Va, Margaret Kilgallen, Pat O'Neil, Florian Maier-Aichen, Uta Barth and Brian Jungen. His work has been published widely and exhibited in Belgium, Italy, England, El Salvador, France and China and he has lectured in Belgium, Holland, Australia, England, France and across America. He has been a judge for the California Design Biennial, the AIGA and the ADC. His writing has been published in Eye, Restart, Metro Letters, Education of a Graphic Designer, Sex Appeal and the AIGA 365. He has taught at the California Institute of the Arts since 1995.
