Caryn Aono has designed for various cultural institutions and corporate businesses. She was the art director in the CalArts Public Relations office for many years and has worked as a project based art director for agencies and studios such as ReVerb, Wieden & Kennedy, Ogilvy and SiegelGale. Her work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and the American Center for Design. Her work has appeared in Clean New World: Culture, Politics, and Graphic Design; The Graphic Edge; ID; Print; Design Review; Graphis and Affiche. She received her master’s degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
