Community: This is a gathering of people who want to learn, share, find support for, act on and engage in dialog about: art for social change, art and social responsibility, strategies for community engagement and social change through the arts, context-based and collaborative artistic practices, presentations by visiting artists, activists and civic leaders, self-empowerment strategies for artists and their communities, alternative or minority histories and practices outside institutional and mainstream venues. This is open to the entire CalArts community including students, faculty and staff.
