CalArts, Modular Theater
THEATER: MFA Directing candidate Kyung-Taek Oh presents his thesis project, Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, the first of Chekhov's four major plays, written in 1895. The Seagull centers on the characters' artistic and romantic relationships and their tendencies to seek love where it is withheld and reject love that is freely given. The lines drawn and connections made between the characters set the stage for a story of the universal experiences of love, heartache, disappointment, creation, family and time—stories which are at the same time common to all and yet individual and distinct in each life.
General admission: $7. Alumni: $3.
Students, faculty, staff and seniors: $2.
