Independent Animator

 

This is a full-time nine-month faculty position in the School of Film/Video, Program in Experimental Animation beginning September 2008.

 

Qualifications

 

Candidates must have a respected international reputation as an artist and filmmaker with more than five years experience producing personal projects. Teaching experience at the college level preferred.  Should be an experienced animator and director familiar with After Effects, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.  Knowledge of Final Cut Pro a plus.  Knowledge of Maya a plus.  Stop Motion experience extremely useful.  Interpersonal skills essential.

 

Duties

 

Duties include teaching and advising beginning through advanced students, graduate and undergraduate, in a culturally diverse student body.  Will also serve as an academic and artistic mentor to several students as well as participating in departmental and collegial matters.
