Nicole Mitchell (BFA, 2007) received a Gold Medal in the category of Animation at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 2008 Student Academy Awards® competition. Nicole was selected for Zoologic--the film she completed while in the Character Animation Program.

Released Monday, May 12, the new CalArts Jazz CD for 2008 features original compositions and performances by student musicians from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) Jazz Program. Recorded at the legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood, this annual CD release has become an anticipated event and an established model for other projects like it around the world.
