Portfolio guidelines

A portfolio of current work is required. Applicants who fail to submit a portfolio as outlined here will not be considered. The portfolio should represent your program interest and direction, your best work and your aesthetic sensibility. A significant number of the images should represent work done within the last 12 months.

• Offsite exhibition in 18,000 sq. foot, first floor space at 915 Mateo
• Thirty-one young artists to present site-specific and recent works

A forum for the sustained exploration of possibilities in cultural production, the Program in Art pushes students to question conventional ideas about contemporary art. It challenges every artist to develop a critical self-awareness about his or her own work and better understand the issues and contexts that inform artmaking in today's world.
