| Alison Rootberg is an interdisciplinary artist whose primary focus is
in dance and video. Rootberg received a BFA in Dance and a BS in
Inter-Arts and Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
This May, she will complete her MFA in Dance and Integrated Media at
the California Institute of the Arts. Her work has been presented by
ADaPT (Association for Dance and Performance Telematics), California
Institute of the Arts, Edgewood High School (WI), the International
Computer Music Conference (Miami, FL), the International Digital Media
and Arts Conference (Orlando, FL), The Kitchen (NY), Madison East High
School (WI), The Margaret D'Houbler Theater (WI), NIME (the
International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression –
Vancouver, Canada), Stevenson High School (IL), St Mark's Church (NY), the University of
Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH), and the Wisconsin Union Theater. As a
performer she has worked with Li Chiao-Ping, Tim Glenn, Barbara
Grubel, Karen McShane-Hellenbrand, Sara Pearson, Dawn Stoppiello, Ruth
Solomon, Dan Wagoner, Robert Wechsler, Patrick Widrig, and Jin-Wen Yu.
As a video artist, she has worked with Mark Coniglio, Carrie Dashow,
Stephan Koplowitz, Heidi Latsky, Victoria Marks, Lee Ranaldo, Neal
Rolnick, Doug Rosenberg, Leah Singer, and Frieder Weiss.
